Online Training

I'm currently doing an online training on Deploying, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Lync Server 2010. Usually the Ministry would pay for us to go to the training facilities in the USA but this year we are experimenting with online training. Why? because its cheaper, and with it being cheaper we can essentially pay for more training courses maybe three sessions a year. Training began this Monday, it was planned months in advance so I had to give up "George Price" day and still attend. Funny enough I'm doing the training in our computer Lab that located right next to National Assembly in Belmopan, so I was able to see a few minutes of the funeral and hear some of the hymns being sung.

Due to the different time zones training begins in Belize at 7am but at 9am in Miami where its sourced. So due to the fact that I commute on a daily basis and the early start time the Ministry was kinda enough to accommodate a room at the bullfrog for me. I Drove down on Sunday and I've been staying there since. Gotta say, I'm loving sleeping in Air conditioning and having a 2mb internet connection.

All in all I have to say the online training is really good, we have video and audio, and I can perform all labs as if I was there. Sure we have a dedicated 4mb link and no filtering from BTL so we can use VOIP and video conferencing....without that I think it would be shit. ha!

Anyhow my 15 minute break is up... back to work.
